I'm lost on this one
I can't send/recieve mail from/to outside my network
Its an isa server on one machine, exchange server on the other, worked fine untill i uninstalled intelligent spam filter.
I can send mail inside my network and OWA.
From outside, i can portqry.exe to port 25 (filtered)
The isa server log firewall sees a connections from other mail servers but logs 82.124.39.166 25 accept 10061 (???!) normaly its 82.124.39.166 25 accept 0 82.124.39.166 25 accept 2000
No idea where this 100061 is coming from, since i can send telnet mail from my isa machine to exchange server.
On the exhange server i can ping outside DNS, but can't telnet yahoo mail server. Rest of network it works fine
mail server has DNS + forwarders are valid and reachable in network setting mail server set as DNS server.
SMTP virtual server is set to anonymous + basic + integrated
recipient policie is set
virusscanner dissabled
mailboxes & pubfolder mounted
nothing in the windows events
i'm lost :/ [ January 03, 2005, 11:53 PM: Message edited by: zinno ]

Hi,
Can you telnet to the exchange server from the outside (on port 25) and send an email?

Well seems u can't send mail through telnet from outside when there is an isa server in between. U can only use "portqry.exe" to verify the port is listening.
Anyway the server problem is resolved by reinstalling SP1 on exchange server 2003 and do a reboot of ISA & exchange server. Didn't work through remote desktop, worked when done on the server.
Cause of the problem: probably uninstall of microsoft intelligent spamfilter. [ January 03, 2005, 11:51 PM: Message edited by: zinno ]
