I have a user that can't seem to view all the messages in a public folder. She can view some emails but not all in that folder. its kinda wierd coz i already gave her "owner role". Other users in that public folder can access the emails without a hitch and they even have lesser permissions.

We are using Exchange 2000 Server. and the exact error is "Can't open this item. You don't have appropriate permission to perform the operation."

what do u think guys? i have looked on some of the forums but they can't seem to give the right fix and most of the time, the question gets hanging up in the air unanswered.

pls help thanks.

Im experience same problem. Could it be that Outlook doesnt allow to show html-messages on public folders

is there any settings for that?

I still have that problem. I never got any information that contributes to the solution of this anomaly. What i did for the meantime is forward all those emails that cant be read to their respective email accounts so that they can proceed with their work.

I noticed that it only happend when you add a user in a public folder too late and that the public folder contained email messages already, then the user wont be able to access them. But all other new emails can be accessed with no problem.

I dont think we are the only ones experienced this problem..so anybody who have work something out that provides solution to this..please share! thanks..
