we "had" a Exchange 2007 standard server running on Windows 2008. The system partition with the OS and Exchange binaries died. The other array with the db's is fine. I was going to do a recovery but realized the rebuilt computer was added back to AD w/ the same name without first resetting the computer account in AD :( So I don't think AD restore will help at this pint since the new account overwrote the old account and when I run adrestore I don't see the object listed as deleted. I could do a system state restore on the DC I suppose but was curious if I could just do a clean install of Exchange and attach the DBs as I've done in previous versions? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
