Hi Everyone,

Getting something strange happening on my exchange server.  I cannot access webmail from it.  I can access it from any desktop or any other server but when it comes to the exchange server i cant.  If i type in the addy https://webmail.companyname.ca it will bring me to the login page but when i put in dominname\username and the password it just keeps bringing up the login screen over and over for the 3 times then gives me the access denied error.

Not sure if this is related but from this server (which is newly built) i cannot access our company websites either.  I am able to login to a secure site (i checked by logging into my bank site) and i havnt come across any other sites that i cant visit.  I have also compaired the internet security settings of this server with another working server, but nothing was different.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

locally on the exchange server, what happens when you type HTTP://SERVERNAME from a browser? does it open the "under construction" page?

Try removing the certificate from the web site and see if you get access to http://servername and http://servername/exchange

Its sounds as though SSL is enable on one of the exchange virtual directories within IIS.

If its giving you "HTTP Error 403.4 - Forbidden: SSL is required to view this resource.
Internet Information Services (IIS)" then SSL MUST be enable somewhere.  Check all of the virtual
directories (Including default website) and uncheck SSL and 128bit encryption.

If you find SSL is NOT enabled then I would try deleting the virtual directories and
recreating them.  See this article.
