can i do this? i currently have
mail.domain.com.au/exchange which is the std i belive, however i want something like

owa.domain.com.au

I am doing this as i am trying to sync with the a smart phone and it dosnt seems to retain the /exchange part, so therefore its not syncing.

if anyone knows a fix for the URL or the smart phone either one i am happy to here.

Are you trying to configure ActiveSync on the phone? If so, then you don't add the /exchange part at all. Just supply the server name mail.domain.com.au . ActiveSync has nothing to do with OWA.

yes but the phone syncs with the exchange server through a new technology.
So its not just mail setting and then sync, it actully uses the owa well thats at least what the phone says to use.

My problem is also with the https as it requires a SSL we have a ms one that i have created not a legitmate one, so the smart phone bombs out, is there anyway around this or will we have to bite the bullet and buy a ssl?

You can use the "Microsoft Certificate Services" and need to additionaly to trust that certificates
