Hi, Im struggling to understand what you mean. Are you saying users inside the network are unable to send emails to external email accounts? I.e My email address for example? Your users couldnt send me an email? Or do you mean they can't RECEIVE emails from outside networks? I.e If i send an email to someone@computeronic.com no one will get it?

Heres a couple starters. http://www.amset.info/exchange/smtp-connector.asp http://www.smallbizserver.net/Home.aspx Google is a wonderful thing except for the stupid toolbar everyone thinks you should have.. It would also help to know if you're using a static or dynamic ip along with sp # on exchange and isa installed ? You can get service pack # in prog~files\exchsrvr\bin and right click exmgmt..then properties and then version. Theres some outstanding articles on dns by Tom Schinder at isaserver.org. If this is a production server, I'd be making plenty of backups as you go, and make notes of every little thing so you can undo them when its time to. Nothing worse than forgetting you checked this stupid little box and it all went down hill from there but you don't remember that you checked that little box then clicked ok. Good luck I know nothing and I can prove it.

In Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003, the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connector replaces the Internet Mail Service in earlier versions of Exchange for mixed mode environments. However, it should be noted that in pure Exchange 200x environments, a connector is not a requirement for Internet mail flow. This article explains how to configure the SMTP connector. link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265293
