Trying to join 5.5 enterprise to an existing site (5.0 std).

Receiving the ff. error: "Server" is licensed for stand-alone use only. Install Microsoft Exchange
Server Connector on "Server" if you want to join its site.

What kind of connector do I need. I only need to join the existing site so the mailboxes can be easily moved onto the new server.

Pls. help.

Do you have the x.400 connector checked off for installation? That may be your problem. 5.x standard doesn't include the x.400 connector.

This is telling you that you can not join this site without buying the connector series (I think that's what is was called). But I don't think it is available any more. So you can either upgrade this server to 5.5, or move to a new server without physically connecting them, by exmerging out your users' mailboxes, and doing a directory export and import. I'm not sure what ramifications there are moving from 5.0 to 5.5 in that way.

X.400 connector is not an option when I ran Exchange setup. Do I have any other option?
