I want to create a public folder that creates contact records from user info from active directory. basically the people I work with have to have a printable phone list so I want to pull the info from active directory and display it in a public folder. ie "Bob"'s extension, email address, department, etc from Active Directory would show up in a contact record within that public folder. Hope this makes sense. If anyone has pulled this one off, I would really appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

I can honestly say I've pulled no one others off but I may be able to help with this problem.

With Exchange you can use contacts both from AD and Public folders so why would you want to duplicate.

Are the people you want the phone details for purely AD contacts or do they have Exchange Mailboxes?

If you are using AD for contacts only then consider using a public folder instead.

If on the other hand the contacts also have Mailboxes then you can use one of the AD export tools such as CSVDE to export to a csv file that can be manipulated or printed from using Excel
