I am recovering a week old database using dailtone method.  The users have OST with current data.  Once the restore is complete will the OST sync with Exchange and kee the week worth of mail or will the OST lose messages in ost with only data from the week old copy of the EDB?

Hiya chap, I have not been in this situation myself, but, would suspect that the OST will sync with the data from the backup, therefore would urge on the side of caution - can you take a copy of the OSTs?

You could then look at converting the OST to PST's and then import the current items?

cheers

A
