my default recipient policy, which has always created smtp and x400 email addresses, is no longer doing this when i create a new user. i've created a new policy, but that policy is not followed either.
i can still create both of these addresses manually', HOWEVER, these new users are NOT recognized when trying to set them up with outlook. i get "the name could not be resolved... could not be matched to a name in the addr. list".
if i go in and run the recipient update services (which are set to 'always run') now, might this fix the problem?? OR, will it just mess up all of the other users already set up and working?
any clue why/how this has changed? how to get the def. rec. policies to 'work' again?
i prev posted this with ex 2003, but i'm using ex 2000. also, it looks as if it may be the same prob as alex1000 posted.
thanks.
