Hello,

i was wondering if there is a way to set default user mailbox settings, in specific i want to assign a default 'mailbox mangement policy ( deleted items )' for all 'new' users. I know i can apply the policy for all existing users using the console but its obvious that we dont want to set this policy manual for all new users.

Unfortunately a lot of the settings have to be applied during mailbox creation. There's no way to set a default MRM policy so that new users will automatically get the policy. You have to specify it during provisioning. The same goes for other settings like POP3 Enabled/Disabled or IMAP Enabled/Disabled. There's no way to set it so all new users get it Disabled. You have to specifically set that user to Disabled.
