in OWA, when i open an email and double-click on a display name (either who sent the email or recipient) to get the email properties dialog box, the display name shows but the email address is empty (or blank). so if i were to right-click on the display name to add to my contacts, the email address property is blank. this use to work in the past as that is how i add new external contacts to my address book. does anyone know how to resolve this issue? please help. thanks

I'm having the exact same problem.

If I access the OWA with Internet Explorer 7, the SMTP address for certain (external) recipients is missing.
I.e if I double click the name I get the e-mail properties box (where I ususally can add the contact to the address book if I choose to), but only the name is showing, no e-mail address. That field is empty.

Now, if I try the same with another browser, such as firefox, the address is shown. I only get this issue when using IE.

Note that this is only for external addresses. For recipients inside the domain, the address is always shown.

I've been trying to find anyone else with this issue, or a solution for that matter but I'm basically lost.

Maybe someone here might know what is going on?

Hotfix was released.

You cannot see the SMTP addresses of external contacts in an e-mail message in Outlook Web Access
