hi friends !
In my organization we are using exchange server 2007 ( genuine ,full version) .
Recently i made one client as backup domain controller and installed microsoft exchange server 2007 evolution version . ( both exchange server_2 and BDC)

suppose exchange_1 is the server name of the original exchange
and the exchange_2 is the second exchange server which i made recently.

when ever i open exchange system manager in the exchange _1 it is showing notification as follows
" one of the mail servers exchange_2 is using evolution version , 113 days remaining "

now i depromote the backup domain controller and formatted ( removed everything )

now there is no server like exchange_2 ! still the same notification is coming . everything is working fine in the server exchange_1 except this notification. how can i remove the notification

can anyone help me please !

So you removed the DC with DCPROMO and formatted without uninstalling Exchange? Go bring up the box as exchange_2, install Exchange 2007 using the DisasterRecovery install method, and then uninstall it properly which removes the remnants out of AD.
