Hi everyone,

IŠm triyng to move a the mailboxes from an exchange 5.5 to a new created exchange 2003. Exchange 5.5 is installed in a upgraded PDC 4.0 now a DC 2000. Everything went allmost smoothly till the moment that i wanted to move the mailboxes theniŠve got the following errors. 9175, 9167, 1008. Stating: Error trying to initiate a session on the MS exchange server MAPI 1.0.

Any ideas???? Please?

verify that the information store is running. If the store is not running, attempt to start it. If the information store is running, and the event is still logged, verify that the mailbox stores are mounted. If they are not mounted, attempt to mount them.

Hi Scotty,

Thanks for you help, but i donŠt see it, the information store service is running and the mailbox store is mounted.

any other ideas?

do you have an ADC connector installed for 5.5 and 2003 to communicate with each other?

does the user moving the mailboxes have the proper permissions on both exchange servers?

Yes I do have the permissions and the ADC connector is installed and running. The exchange 5.5 is runnig in a DC is this a problem?.

Domain controllers and Exchange both use port 389 and with your 5.5 being on a DC you may need to change the port exchange is talking on, at least until you finish your migration.
