Does anyone know the actual process of resizing a database using eseutil /d? we have an approx. 160 GB priv is, and when we run eseutil /d on it, the temp db is approx 153 GB, but then fails in the "instate process" with error code 1032. Two questions:
1. Does anyone know how to avoid the 1032 (file locked) error?
2. When is the db compacted and reduced in size (during the defrag (while creating the temp db), or when copying back to the mdbdata folder)?
thanks,

Shut down the IS service before running eseutil /d
