we plan to move exchange2003 to exchange 2007 in Feb,all the task will be done by our software supply Partners.
I installed an 2008 server,made the server a DC,and installed the exhange 2007.yes,all in one PC, everything was ok.but yesterday,my co-worker formated the D driver which include the program folder of exchange 2007.
now the dc works well,but when I run setup.com/m:recoverserver or setup ,it always show me "exchange server setup encountered an error."then stopped.what to do?thanks

What is the exact error? Any logs in application logs?
I would suggest to remove all the Exchange server records from AD and re-install it, instead of going for repair, since this is single server scenario.
