i have two question.

first. can i run exmerge on a unmounted store?
and second. is there a way i can restore a priv store from just trans logs?

my hard drive crash, so the priv files are labeled as a dirty shutdown.

Hi,

Store needs to be mounted to use exmerge.

You can get a database back from transaction log files if you have ALL logfiles from day 1 of the exchange server - see: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=278958

Start by making an offline backup of all mdbdata folders (databases and logs)

If you have all logfiles from last full backup the best way to recover would be to restore and then have the system replay the logfiles.

If you don't have a backup you could try to repair the database by using eseutil /p and after that isinteg
