Hi,
Receiving a (0x8004011D) error when connecting to an Exchange Server. At the moment the only firewall on the Exchange Server is the one that came with Server 2003.
When Firewall removed "OFF" connection with Outlook 2003 mail client works like a charm. When Firewall is "ON" connection disconnects with error.
What ports need to be opened for Outlook to send and receive to the Exchange server?

I have opened up TCP port 135 for rcp.

OWA works fine.

Thanks

What firewall are you referring to? Windows firewall or another firewall?
Exchange uses a significant number of ports, some of which are dynamic. The Windows firewall should be configured correctly, you can also use the security configuration wizard to set things correctly.

Although I actually tend to disable the Windows firewall internally, I don't see the point in using it. If someone gets inside then you have bigger problems to worry about.

Simon.
