Hi all - We have installed a fax server software product that allows us to receive/route faxes directly into Exchange public folders in pdf format. The average size of the faxes we are receiving is between 500KB to 1meg and space is quickly becoming an issue. To alleviate this issue I'm considering the following(that is if these are possible)

1. Configuring the public folders to 'point' to a separate drive/server where storage isn't an issue while not changing how they are accessed/appear to the end user
2. Using some type of archiving/retrieval software product that will allow me to schedule archiving/removal of the faxes in the public folder - thus freeing up space - while still allowing the end user to search for and retrieve the documents on demand.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish either/both of the above would be greatly appreciated. Software suggestions for #2 above would also be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Hi, As you mentioned you can create another Public Folder, that point to another Drive with more capacity. But if you want you can use the IFS (M Drive of Exchange) and DFS (Distributed File System) to copy the Content of the Public Folder to another location, then you can use a Scheduled Task to Delete the Original Files).

Regards
