Hi,
I've setup 2 server with NLB working good.(2 network card one for NLB and one LAN).
my question is the command "New-ClientAccessArray" to create the CAS array i run it on the CAS server (NLB) or on the MAILBOX server?
THX.

Doesn't matter which server.

Unless you set a custom site name in active directory, all you need to do is

new-clientaccessarray -name "NameOfArray" -fqdn "cas.domain.com" -site "default-first-site-name"

Change the name and fqdn to the desired values

If you've already rolled out the mbox role before creating the cas array, then make sure to update the RPC server for the mailbox databases

set-mailboxdatabase "DBName" -rpcclientaccessserver "cas.domain.com"

You'll want to enable IPForwarding on your NLB nic

The easiest way to do so is to open up the network connections of your CAS server and rename your adapter used for the NLB cluster to something like "NLB" and rename your internet NIC as "WAN"

Then open command prompt and type the following

netsh interface ipv4 set interface "NLB" forwarding=enabled weakhostsend=enabled weakhostreceive=enabled

You should then be able to ping the NLB cluster IP and the IP of the WAN nic from the outside

so after i run this command i can redirect port 443 on the firewall to the nlb virtual ip without the default gateway on the nlb virtual ip?(even if i have a second NIC that it's dedicated to the LAN with all the ip address in it)
