Hi All,

I have a problem with an accounts package that sends emails (invoices, orders, remittance advice etc) using SMTP to clients and suppliers. I would like these emails to be relayed through Exchange to enable them to be journalled and then archived by GFI together with the rest of the email that GFI archives.

On testing by adding a relay rule and then using telnet to port 25 from the accounts server to send a test email, the mail was relayed, but the email was not journalled. If I send email via Outlook, email is journalled correctly, however the acounts software only has the capability of sending anonymous SMTP i.e. it does not have the capability of authenticated SMTP

Any suggestions on how to set this up would be appreciated.

Cheers

Arne

Not tried Journalling yet, but how about a Transport rule to send a copy of the email somewhere when it meats pre-set criteria?
