We are in the process of upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to 2000, and now MS announced it has released 2003 to manufacturing. Because of this we are going to put the brakes on the 5.5 to 2K upgrade and wait for 2003.

We actually have 2000 installed and running, but have not migrated any users (partly because we have a couple of OWA problems that need to be resolved).

So, my question is whether we should/can uninstall the ADC etc.? Is there a backout process from the 5.5 to 2K upgrade? If I leave things as-is can I reload the current Exchange 2K with 2003?

From what I know you can easily upgrade from E2k to exchange 2003. If you want to install E2K from your AD, look for technical document Q260378 on Microsoft's web site. Be care full when deleting objets in AD. Stop ADC before deleting any AD objects.
