Does anyone know how to configure site connectors and directory replication between an Exchange 5.5 site and an Exchange 2000 site which are both in the same organisation?

I currently have just one Exchange 5.5 server left in the partly migrated Exchange 2000 site which is the local bridgehead and I need to remove it. I can't seem to find any documentation to correctly configure this except for an inplace upgrade which i want to avoid.

You need to redirect your Connection Agreements (CA) from Exchange 5.5 bridghead server to Exchange 2000 server where you have SRS service. Also don't forgot to change port on CA to 379, because SRS use that port.
Also be aware about First Server Roles on Exchange 5.5 server.
You can find more info in Q316886 on support.microsoft.com
