Let's say I am preparing my environment for the Exchange installation, what effect will it have if I do forestprep on my member server instead if the Domain Controller?

If I have already done this, should I do it again on the domain controller?

Hello Xnewbie

It's fully supported running ForestPrep on a member server, the member server will just contact the Schema Master server, which is the one getting updated.

If you have a slow network, I would suggest you run ForestPrep on the Schema Master server itself, so that you eliminate the otherwise increased network load created by running it on Member server.

This should answer your question [Big Grin]
