I know this is an Exchange message board, but I thought I would throw this out there.....

I'm migrating from NT 4 to Win2003 AD.
I have DHCP installed on my Win2K3 DC, and would like to have my NT 4 clients start using the new DHCP server.

Is it possible for me to:
1. stop DHCP in my NT 4 domain
2. authorize/start DHCP in my Win2K3 domain
3. and have my NT 4 clients get their new leases from thew Win2k3 DHCP server?

Or do my NT 4 clients need to be a part of the Win2K3 domain first before they can use the new DHCP server?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have not tried this but I guess your NT4 clients can acquire there IP's from Windows 2003 Server, if you disable DHCP on NT4 Server.

Please try to post Exchange related queries.
