hi,

in my org, exchange server using ISP's dns and mx record.i am planned to host DNS at out site.what is procedure i have to follow and i want to know what is advantage DNS and MX record keeping at ISP over our own site.

There's really no advantage in having your own public DNS server, this will only be an extra administrative burden.

Why not just let your ISP handle your DNS (and MX record), the MX record really doesn't do anything other than point to your Exchange Server.

As a best practice I would recommend using your internal DNS server which will resolve your internal queries of the clients and have the forwarding IP addresses pointed to the ISP Public DNS Server. Exchange functionality is very much dependent on Stable DNS Services. So make your base strong by implementing proper DNS server on your network with forwarding IP of your ISP.

Yes of course he should have a fully working private DNS, but for MX record etc. best practice is to use the ISP's DNS service.
