Greetings,

I have Exchange 2003 Enterprise running on Server 2003 Standard. If I wanted to setup an Active/Passive cluster for fail over, would I have to completely reload my Exchange box? I heard that Active/Passive requires Server Enterprise instead of Standard.

And also, would I have to buy 2 copies of Server 2003 Enterprise and another copy of Exchange Enterprise or since the second box is technically not live, could you use the same copy on it? (looking to save some money)

Yes, you will have to install Exchange Enterprise on Windows 2003 Enterprise. You will also have to purchase Windows enterprise server and Exchange enterprise for each node in the cluster.
