How big is too big when talking about Information Store size to Hard Disk space? In other words, if I have a 36GB HD that houses my Information Store, at what point should I start thinking about migrating my IS to a bigger disk set? Currently, my IS is 17GB (EDB and STM)on a 36GB drive. Should I start being concerned and start thinking about a bigger disk set?

No, I should not be concerned but when it starts getting towards 80% full then I suggest a bigger disk. But at 50% you are fine.

Have you tried a defrag on the database? Most of the time running a /d should reduce the database size.
