rintpete -> Finding email addresses (6.Aug.2003 2:37:00 PM)

Hello everyone

I know this should be simple "[Smile]" I want to be able to determine if certain email addresses exist on the server and who the corresponding user/contact is. I am using the standard Find applet, however I am unable to use it to find email addresses.

I'm obviously doing something wrong so any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rintpete

You can do that by using the search funtion in Windows, with it you can lookup persons in AD.

Try do the following:

- Hit Start -> Search
- Choose Printers, Users or Computers
- Choose People in your address book
- Type the emailaddress in the filed email

As Exchange 2003 is integrated with AD you can search for it this way.

You can always just use outlook. Enter the address in the To: line and click the check names button. If the address is valid in the Exchange site, it will resolve to the display name of the recipient.
