Is there a way i can deny a specific ip from sending mail to my mail server. THis is the issue we have groupshield for exchange running on our exchange2k box. This specific ip is sending the sobigf virus which is picked up by our virus software. But it sends me an email everytime a viurs is sent to us and also notifys the user. What i would like to do is block the ip this is comming from.

Hi Randy Temple,

You can restrict who the SMTP server will accept mail from. On the default SMTP virtual server select properties and goto the Access tab select connect control the default is all except the list below. Add your IP or range in there and you will have blocked them from sending you mail messages.

thanks

Chris
