IÆm running an Exchange 2003 server. I recreated a new user called Mediainfo and created an email address for that new user called MEDIAINFO@company.COM.AU. I deleted the user from Active Directory. I checked the Exchange server and the mail box was removed.

I then needed to create a new user also called Mediainfo and therefore that userÆs email address was also called Mediainfo@company.com.au.au. There was no errorÆs generated when I recreated the user.

I can send email to the Mediainfo email address internally without any problems. I can send email from the Mediainfo email address externally. However when I send email externally to the Mediainfo address I get the following error.

Using the ldifde command IÆm able to export Active Directory to a text file. Doing a search in the exported file I can not find any other accounts which has the email address of Mediainfo configured. The only account that has the email address of Mediainfo@company.com.au is the Mediainfo account. However externally the Exchange server reports that there is a duplicate email address.

How would I go about finding what other object in active directory that also has the same email address. Using the ldifde command does not return any valid results.
