Hi everyone,
I HAVE to rename my windows 2003 domain/forest. IÆve gone though MicrosoftÆs documentation briefly and it says I have to remove Exchange from all the domain controllers. I have four DC and one of them works as my Exchange 2003 back end. Its much easier for me to dcpromo and remove AD from the exchange backend than removing exchange. Will taking AD off the exchange allow me to rename domain? And will this cause any problem with Exchange? Thanks a lot for you help

Renaming a domain with Exchange 2003 implemented is a very complicated task which should be avoided at all costs, but if you insist checkout:
