We have recently upgraded to Exchange 2003 and I'm having a problem with one user who cannot access the out of office assistant while logged in on any workstation. The only way they can turn on out of office is by using OWA.
The following error appears on the workstation "The Out of Office Assistant could not be displayed. A required action was not successful due to an unspecified error"
All workstations are XP Pro SP2, Exchange is installed on Server 2003, SP1 has not been applied. Other users on the domain don't have this problem. I presume that there must be something differenet with this users profile but I'm not sure what to trouble shoot first. Any suggestions would be appreciated. SYMPTOM(S) =========== When try to bring up the Out Of Office Assistant, they get the following errors:
"The Out Of Office Assistant could not be displayed. A required action was not successful due to an unspecified error."
Click OK button.
"System resources are critically low. Close some windows."
RESOLUTION ============ 1. Exported out all rules through the Rules Wizard. 2. Through mdbvu32, deleted the remaining rules, one-by-one, until the Out Of Office Assistant would launch. 3. Imported the rules back into the mailbox of user. Good Luck, and Best Regards, oz
