I have an Exchange 2003 server where the IMAP process appears to die on a regular basis. I have a few PDA users that use IMAP to check their e-mail offsite, rather than the MAPI that we use onsite and through the VPN. My question is how do I restart that section of exchange without rebooting the machine?

have you tried going to Administrative Tools > Services and re-starting the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service?

You can also set it to automatically re-start the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service in an event of it terminnating unexpentantly (via the recovery tab on the Properties of the service).

That is what I was looking for and could not for the life of me remember where it was. Thanks!
