sbl@cshlaw.com -> Organization message routing... (29.Aug.2003 1:09:00 PM)

Today my FSMO crashed and had to be rebuilt. It was provideing DNS, DHCP, etc. for the organization. I have 3 locations each with its own exchange 2000 server. Message flow between the sites stopped as a result of the FSMO and associated services crash. After seizing FSMO roles, rebuilding the server and transferring the roles back (and reinstalling DNS, etc). Mail is again flowing from the remote sites to the main site with no problems...however!, the main site that routes external and internal emails to the remote sites is taking, consistantly, 25 minutes to deliver the messages. It does not appear to be a connectivity issues and I dont have a customized schedule on the SMTP connector. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Unhandled,

Right click on all of your exchange servers and see who they are using for Global Catalogs. amek sure no one is referencing the old server that crashed
