rstenson -> SMTP & Delivery (16.Oct.2003 11:26:00 PM)

Have Exchange 2003 installed as part of SBS 2003.

Configured primarily to get and send POP3 email from our ISP.

ISP requires SMTP validation for sending all email. I could not find a way
to provide outgoing SMTP credentials in the POP3 Account or SMTP connector
setup.

I have tried the DNS routing setting and that works most of the time.
However we seem to have certain domains that either give us an error or connection problem for our mail - .juno .aol .netzero

Stuff sits in the queue for ever waiting on delivery.

Anyone have an ideas or suggestions on a better way to set this up?

Rick,

Drop the POP3 set up and host the mail local have an A record for mail-1.yourdomain.com and a MX record created. point those records to the External interface of the SMS server and make sure ISA is installed
