Clyde Reynolds -> Location of Global Contacts List (21.Sep.2005 11:48:27 AM)

Howdy all! WHERE should my Global Contacts list be located? I have about 3 lists, and everyone seems to be using a different one. It's a real mess. I copied all the contacts from a good known list to a shared contact folder, everyone can see it but not all users can edit or add comments or new contacts to the list. WHERE should the list be so that:
1) EACH user can see it?
2) Each user can edit/add to it?

Thanks a bunch,
Clyde

Create a Contacts Public folder and set the default permissions to Author.

You just right click on your public folder root in Outlook and choose New Folder...

Some people (ie. the previous administrator of my Exchange Server) like to add and edit things on the M: drive on the Exchange server.  This is a good way of ensuring you will have lots of problems with your public folders.
