Hi all, I am in the porcess of installing a new Exchange 2003 Server.  The old server was NT4 with Exchange 5.5

I've made the change in our firewall port forwarding (was to IP 192.168.1.100, now it points to new server 192.168.1.241).

Whenever i send an email from anywhere i get back an error with this attachment:

Reporting-MTA: dns;servername.domainname.com
Received-From-MTA: dns;servername
Arrival-Date: Mon, 17 Oct 2005 12:28:45 -0500

Final-Recipient: rfc822;user@mydomain.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0
X-Display-Name: User Name

can anyone give me advice??  is it an X400 issue or are there alot of settings i need to go thru yet?
THANK YOU!!!

did you create a Recipient Policy with your domain in it?  What is the current configuration of the servers?  Did you move the mailboxes yet?  Tell us more of what exactly you have done thus far.

so far i have created the users in active directory.  Also, why are there 2 active directories???  it seems as tho one is for exchange and the other is for windows server.

Under 'Receipient Policies' -> 'Default Policy' properties i have the following config:

smtp   @Medialink-cs.com    (which is my new domain)
SMTP  @Medialinkcs.com     (internet domain)
X400   c=US;a= ;p=Medialink;o=Exchange

might i need to change any of these?  what does 'p' stand for under X400, what about 'o'??

thank you
