Another thing, make sure the enabled card is at the top of the network Bindings.

I definitely do not. Thanks,
I keep looking at that RoadSync log I posted. It seems to hang up while requesting the HTTP RecResponse which I'm trying to think through the process of sync'ing with exchange. The http RecResponse, is it failing when it's requesting from the backend?

Do you have any IIS related applications such as IISLockDown or URLScan on any of the server? Have you ever had these installed?

I looked in the add remove programs and do not see it listed. I think the only time I used urlscan and iislockdown was with the old exch 5 owa srvr. Is there any other way to check?

I have Trend AV on it and stopped the service to try again to sync but no luck.

Just to reiterate my fw, I have only port 443 going to that server for owa. Owa has never had a problem. From the logs, it looks like a connection is being established so I don't think it's a limitation there.

should this still function even if oma is not working?

OMA and ActiveSYnc are 2 totally seperate technologies. I have an environment where ActiveSync is working but OMA is not as my clients do not require it at all!

So port 443 is being forwarded to the FE server? Try to enable port 80 to the FE server as well for testing and see what happens.

Do a scan on both servers for URLSCAN.INI and if you find it, simply rename that file to something else and lets see if we get further.

I just did a scan and nothing is found for urlscan. I was looking in the iis logs again and noticed something in the HTTPError dir. From the last scan I am going to provide the logs from the Front End to the back end on each server

Last Sync all same transaction

Problem Fixed OMA and EAS!!

Problem is was that the exchange vir directories on both the front end and back end was set to my corporate domain. Since I didn't have a SMTP address that referenced that user@corporatedomain.com it would come up as a error as in the event viewer as me trying to access oma but does not have the corporatedomain.com smtp address. Once I added this and restarted the services, I was able to go to mydomain.com/oma and then sync. Many thanks to de.blackman for helping me troubleshoot this. My Treo was two days short of going on Ebay

Congratulations

It seems the issue you are having was with the SMTP proxy. if you are in SP1 for exchange you can fix this by using this article from MS 886346 You receive an HTTP_500 error message when you synchronize your mobile device with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;886346. This is actually an issue that has been fixed up in SP2 for Exchange.
