Schedule+ Free/Busy System Folder Is Missing
if I follow the instruction in MS Article ID 275171 "Because the folders are re-created,
the data contained in the original site folders are lost."
Can I restore all e-mail account data emails, contacts etc. from my Veritas backup into the new store?

The Schedule+ Free/Busy System Folder contains free/busy information of your users.
There is nothing to restore.
As your users make calendar entries the free/busy times will be repopulated.

Thank you for your reply (-:

The problem I am having is no one can see anyone elses outlook calendar to check to see if they are busy or not when making an appointment..
When in the scheduler in outlook when they try to see if the attendee is busy they receive “no free/busy information could be retrieved”

under public folders in the exchange admin there is no free busy folder. Is this correct?

Create a test meeting and invite ALL of your users.
Aks them to accept it. You can then delete this meeting later.

Yes that works. making appointments in the outlook calendar work fine
When in the scheduler in outlook users try to setup a meeting with others and they would like to see if all or some of the attendees are free/busy, they can't the area is hashed out on the attendees but not on the person trying to make the meeting. When the person making the meeting clicks on the hashed area they receive “no free/busy information could be retrieved”

That will change as the users make calendar entries.

How Free/Busy works:
The Outlook clients automatically send a free/busy update when their calendar is updated. This will include the new update and any other free/busy info.
