I am just about done with an exchange migration and following the guide from this site.

But I found that the MS article only refers to the offline address book, and changing the replica's for the OAB2 folder,
I noticed on my box that the old exchange 2000 server I am trying to remove was a replica for the oab3 and oab4 folders?
Do I need them?

Typically I would say that you do need them and you should replicate a copy of them to your new server. If you do not and you try to regenerate your address list, it will fail because that information store does not contain a local copy.
