Is anyone aware of any good study books for this exam.
The microsoft website says "Currently, corresponding Microsoft Press title is not available" and I have looked online at amazon/dymocks and done searches for books matching 70-285 or Designing Exchange and I can seem to find any books from any publishers specific for this exam

There aren't any books available for the 70-285 exam, but below book written for the 70-225 Exam could be useful, since very little have changed from 2000 to 2003 when speaking designs.

I have had the same issue with finding books for this test.  I am going next week to take the 2 day course (course 2008)

Anyone out there taken this test that has also taken 284 that can compare the two?  I know 285 is a design exam but is the source material for the two test basically the same?

The 70-285 exam is a design exam just like 70-298. A design exam is very different from the normal exams, since they are splitted up in cases with multiple questions in each.
