jclark@rrff.com -> unable to open your default email folders (31.Jan.2006 6:31:13 PM)

The message occurs ONLY when I (Enterprise Admin) to open a mailbox that is in one of the additional mailbox stores created so I could better control quotas.  Ideas /suggestions?

are you trying to say that you're not able to open somebody else mailbox which is on anothe store

You are correct.

by default even if you're enterprise admin you don't have rights to open somebody else's mailbox.

For all domain admins there is a explicit deny for that. This is inherited from Exchange org to the bottom.

simple workaround my be is add a new user which is simple a AD user.

then give this use full control on the Mailbox store

Our Enterprise Admin rights on the FirstMailbox store include Full Access; with Read AS and Send AS the only boxes with a Deny Access Inherited.  Somewhere in the past ALLOW was checked on those boxes and the EA has complete rights...
SO I copied that on my new mailbox stores and Voila I can now open any mailbox in any store!  Problem solved.
