Can't find any messages in message tracker?

Email my external account with two different exchange addresses (message arrives ok)

message id - test
sender - xxx@xxx.co.uk
recipient - administrator@futuretechlive.com

Nothing in message tracker?

Also

Totally confused now, I emailed my external isp email address from within exchange (webmail) with a read receipt, it was delivered ok and I also received the read receipt ok?

Why can I not receive normal external email

Well, your last post does make something sound quite odd.

If your system is receiving email, the message tracker will show you. It won't hide anything from you :) If you can do so, give it a reboot and then recheck the tracker.

Also, you can turn on SMTP logging if you have not already to confirm your system is receiving inbound email from outside sources.

In Exchange System Manger go to SMTP Virutal Server under your Server/Protocols/SMTP

Right-click, properties and on the general Tab confirm "Enable logging" is ticked. You can check the properties of the logs and add more fields if you wish by clicking the Properties button.

Once logs are confirmed turned-on, check them and see if you're server is receiving email from outside sources (IPaddress field).

Issue fixed.

Remote domain possibly did not propogate to metabase, added smarthost on default virtual server of IIS.

Removed smarthost from default smtp virtual server of exchange, added the same to connector. Made permission changes to allow anyone to connect for inbound.

All is well, please configure sender, recipient and IMF to protect exchange from spam.
