Hi there,

We've got multiple Exchange Servers in diffrent Sites in the same Organization. One Exchange Server is dead and will not come back, so I wanted to delete it from the Exchange System Manager. (There were no Maiboxes or anything else on it) I then got an error Message saying "ID No.: c103f492. Can't remove Server because it's a target bridgehead for a routing Group". This particular Routing is also not needed any more. When I try to delete the Member of that Routing Group, nothing happens, not even an error message. Should I remove everything via ADSIEdit or has someone another idea.
Any Suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks
Jasper

If no routing is needed then just move any members (servers) away from the routing groups into the default routing group (routing group set up by exchnage) and then delete the routing groups not needed.

As long as there is one member which can also be the master server in a RGC you cannot delete it.... Empty the RGC and delete it after that as rob says....

Then just get rid of the crashed server from ADSIEDIT.

Note: Be careful about using adsiedit. It is irreversable. Take system state of DC if you are unsure.
