Status: offline 		Can you telnet to the server on port 80 from it's own console?

telnet 127.0.0.1 80
GET /

Status: offline 		Well, telnet's a bit weird (and doesn't like even things like backspace).  Try

telnet
set localecho
open 127.0.0.1 80
GET /

You will probably see the cursor go back to the top left corner after the 'open'.  Just keep typing and see what happens.

Status: offline 		Try running TCPView from www.sysinternals.com on it.  Make sure that the inetinfo process is listening on port 80 (http) and 443 (https) .
