I've sent you a test but it's not going to help much as our mail routes out via MessageLabs, who'll be using different DNS... Let me know if received, though.

OK guys,

After a trying a few more tries, I think I resolved the problem. Not sure if I set it up correctly the first time, but the fix was to change the host setting on with my domain name. Instead of using MXE record, I used an A record and a MX for my mail server. Still don't understand why it worked for some domains and not others. So far, yahoo mail is getting thru to my users now. If anybody could enlighten me on why this happens?

We have experienced the same problem with yahoo mail coming into our server. We determined that our firewall was dropping the connection with yahoo due to poorly formatted email, specifically the line length. Our firewall evaluates the line on the smtp proxy, the rfc std is 1000 characters between cr/lf. Yahoo and other ISP's are notorious for not following line length rfc stds. I believe it's their web based email clients that are at fault. We were able to negate this problem by increasing the line length tolerance on the firewall.
