When you get the chance on a client machine that can't connect to Outlook see if the following registry values are present:
Go to the registry key in this article and see if the key names and the values are present. If not, add any that are missing and see if that helps:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;830914
Also check the event logs on one of the machines after trying to config Outlook and see if any errors are reported there.

The migration to Native mode must have resolved the issues! It WORKS!!!!!!! Thank you very much for the assistance. If you are ever in Fort Worth, TX... I owe you a beer or 6.
