Hi, I have setup exchange 2003 SBS with a pop connector. emails to user@company.com get through okay to the users mailboxes, however emails to a name that is not associated to a user will bounce back with the error Status: 5.1.1.

I have set one of the users to collect undeliverable email, so why is this email being sent back?

Because it cannot be delivered to the address to which it was sent! I suspect you are asking the wrong
question. What you really want is turn off NDRs.
