Hi!

I'm starting a new install of exchange 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 x64 computer.
I'm trying to install ASP.NET as it's written in the technet but I can't see it in the component list...

I've done an install on a Windows Server 2003 x86 computer and I didn't encounter the same problem.

Is it normal?

When speaking 64-bit editions (at least R2) the ASP.NET component is part of the .NET Framework tools component.

In fact, the two versions of the framework are installed (32bit & 64bit).

So I used the aspnet_regiis tool to install the 64bit version of ASP.NET.

Now ASP.NET appear in the IIS Web Services Extensions but not in the component list.

ASP.NET should not appear in the Windows Component list even when installed. It's part of the .NET Framework 2.0 tools when speaking 64-bit OSs.

I installed it from update.microsoft.com.  Worked great.

Note, after you install it, re-return to update.microsoft.com and there will be another security patch for it.
